Description:
The name Darjeeling is a composition of dorje meaning Thunderbolt and ling meaning place ....The Land of Thunderbolt. The Nepalese had marched till the east of Sikkim in 1780 as far as Tista river. Due to a disagreement with Nepal, the British declared war against Nepal at the end of 1813. In 1816 by a treaty signed at Seagoulie, Nepal ceded 4000 sq. miles of territory and by the treaty of Titalya in 1817 the Rajah (king) of Sikkim was reinstated.
The pleasant little town of Pelling is famous for magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains of Kanchenjunga. Pelling is about 133 km away from Siliguri and 125km from Gangtok. Situated at an altitude of 6,800 ft, it offers good view of entire mountain ranges including the Koktang, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kabru, Dom, Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Siniyalchu and others. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim with a population of approximately 50,000 has emerged into the mainstream of the Tourism Industry, with more and more tourist visiting this little Himalayan state every year. Gangtok has developed into a cosmopolitan flavour where old-world charm and hospitality exist along with the Internet Age.

NEW DELHI-NEW JALPAIGURI-DARJEELING-PELLING-GANGTOK-NEW JALPAIGURI-NEW DELHI Day 01:Departure from New Delhi Railway station by 2424 Rajdhani Express at 14.00hrs
Day 02:Arrival at NJP at 10:55 hrs. Meet and greet at NJP station. After lunch at Siliguri transfer to Darjeeling. At evening Nepali folk dance programme at Night Angel Park & Mall Road. Over night at Darjeeling Day 03:At early morning around 4am, 3 point sight seeing (Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop). After breakfast 2 point sightseeing ( Rock Garden and Ganga Maya park). After lunch sight seeing at HMI, Zoo, Botanical Garden, Jainese temple, Lebong Race Court, etc.Over night at Darjeeling. Day 04: After breakfast transfer to Pelling. Arrival at Pelling and relax for the day. Over night at Pelling. Day 05: After breakfast full day Pelling. Full day seightseeing of Pelling. Over night at Pelling. Day 06: After breakfast transfer to Gangtok. Arrival at Gangtok and evening free for shopping. Over night at Gangtok. Day 07:After breakfast set out for sight seeing at Tsangu Lake / Baba Mandir or Tsangu Lake / Nathula pass & back to Gangtok. Evening free for personal activities. Over night stay at Gangtok.
